Cooling systems withstand heat records

This summer’s temperature records formed a nice test situation for cooling systems in computer rooms and data centres. Fortunately, they proved to be able to withstand the heat.

This summer saw one temperature after the other being smashed and expectations are that it doesn’t stop here. As a result of climate change, we should realise that more extreme weather will be increasingly prevalent in the near future. The cooling systems’ design needs to be prepared for that so that the equipment in your computer room or data centre continues to fully work, also in more extreme weather conditions. In that sense, the recent heat waves were the perfect test situation.

Good performances despite the heat

The big question was: ‘Will existing cooling systems continue to work safely and reliably in extremely high temperatures?’ Fortunately, this summer gave us a positive answer to that. Cooling systems continued to perform well during the heat records, as we discovered at APAC. APAC Services was able to keep all managed cooling systems operational without any major effort. This gives us confidence for the future – both for our team as well as for our clients.

Are you ready for more hot weather?

It is clear that cooling systems are able to withstand the heat. Still, we recommend preparing your system for more extreme outdoor temperatures. This way, you will prevent any failure and keep your data secure. If you want to find out more about how to use your cooling system correctly, please contact us. We’re happy to advise you.
